Meet the Founder | The Story Behind Good Intentions

I've always been a candle person.

Every year, I'd wait for the big candle sales and stock up on dozens at a time. My home was filled with them. To me, candles weren't just about fragrance—they made a space feel comforting, cozy, and alive. Lighting a candle could completely change the mood of a room and turn an ordinary evening into something special.

Then came 2020.

Like many people during quarantine, I found myself looking for creative projects to stay busy. What started as a simple idea—making candles for friends and family—quickly became an obsession. I loved learning about fragrance blending, testing waxes, and creating scents that made people smile.

But as I learned more about candle-making, I also learned more about the ingredients commonly used in many candles I had loved for years. Some of those products would give me headaches, and I became more aware of what I was bringing into my home—not just for myself, but for my dog and the people I cared about.

I started asking questions.

Could a candle smell amazing and still be made with cleaner ingredients?

Could fragrance be something that enhanced a space without compromising what mattered most?

That curiosity became Good Intentions.

What began on my kitchen counter has grown into thousands of handcrafted candles, countless popup events, candle-making classes, and a community of customers who believe that the little things matter.

Today, every Good Intentions candle is hand-poured in California using a coconut soy wax blend and thoughtfully curated fragrances. But more importantly, every product is created with the belief that everyday moments deserve to feel special.

Whether it's your morning coffee, your drive home after a long day, a quiet night with a good book, or a celebration with friends, scent has the power to transform ordinary moments into meaningful rituals.

Thank you for supporting my dream and allowing Good Intentions to become part of yours.
